The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskyy and Minister of Interior and Administration of Poland Mariusz Kamiński firmly stressed the determination to further move towards closer cooperation between the forces and units of their respective ministries and other components of the civil security system of both countries in order to strengthen their resilience and ability to effectively counter modern challenges and threats.

The Ukrainian side once again expressed regret over the accidental mistake that had resulted in an unfortunate incident at the Main Police Directorate of the Republic of Poland involving General Jarosław Szymczyk.

"Our common goal is to ensure the security of the citizens of the Republic of Poland and Ukraine and to achieve a lasting peace in Ukraine," reads the joint statement of the Ministers following the meeting.

Ukrainian and Polish ministers discussed aspects of regional security, interaction of special police units in the fight against fraud, hostile disinformation and other destructive phenomena in cyberspace.

The parties agreed on the establishment of joint expert groups in various areas of the civil security sector, assistance from Poland in the development of voluntary fire brigades in local communities in Ukraine, technical strengthening of the capabilities of the National Police and the SES of Ukraine, in particular in forensic DNA research of the profiles of unidentified victims of russian aggression and CBRN protection, etc.

Denys Monastyrskyy expressed gratitude to the Poles for their fraternal solidarity with the Ukrainian people, for the shelter provided by Poland for millions of our compatriots, noting that such compassion and humanity in times of incredibly difficult trials for Ukraine will forever be imprinted in the history of Ukrainian-Polish relations. "In the darkness caused by russian barbarism, we can see our true friends even better," the Minister said.
