In Ukraine, all heads of regional territorial recruitment and social support centers will be dismissed.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on Telegram after a special session of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), where the results of the inspection of 'military commissariats' were discussed.
He noted that they heard reports on the results of the inspection of territorial recruitment and social support centers from the Director of the State Bureau of Investigations, Oleksiy Sukhachev, the Head of the Security Service, Vasyl Maliuk, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, the Prosecutor General, Andriy Kostin, the Head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Oleksandr Novikov, and the Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Semen Krivonos.
At the same time, he noted that as of today, 112 criminal proceedings have already been initiated against officials of the 'military commissariats,' and 33 suspicions have been declared.
"Our decisions. We are releasing all regional 'military commissars.' This system should be managed by individuals who know precisely what war is and why cynicism and bribery during wartime constitute state betrayal. Warriors who have been through the frontlines or are unable to be in trenches due to injuries, having lost their health or limbs but retained their dignity and lack of cynicism – it is these individuals who can be entrusted with this recruitment system," emphasized Zelensky.
According to him, the NSDC has instructed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, to appoint officers directly involved in combat operations to lead regional TCRC positions based on recommendations from the leaders of operational-tactical and operational-strategic groups. All candidates must undergo a security check by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) before their appointments.
Dismissed servicemen and other officials with insignia, without suspicions, if they wish to keep their insignia and preserve their dignity – should head to the front," recommended Zelensky.
The President of Ukraine also announced that a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on the activities of military medical commissions will be held in two weeks.
"Currently, there is an inspection and preparation of proposals. Decisions will also be made," he announced.
