President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the United Kingdom on Thursday to participate in the European Political Community summit and to sign new security agreements with partners, he announced on his Telegram channel.
"Countries of the European space are gathering for the fourth summit of the European Political Community to discuss common themes and challenges. I arrived in the United Kingdom to participate in the summit, hold bilateral meetings with partners, and sign new security agreements," the president wrote.
His visit program also includes a meeting with His Majesty King Charles III, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, government officials, and heads of British defense companies.
Additionally, according to Zelensky, an intergovernmental agreement to support the Ukrainian defense industry will be signed, and there will be discussions with British colleagues about future defense cooperation and expanding defense capabilities.
"From the first days of the full-scale invasion, the United Kingdom has been ahead in its determination to support Ukraine. Such determination is needed to stop Russian terror," Zelenskyy noted.
