He noted that a tiny percentage of citizens supported the former prime minister of Italy.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the statements of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi regarding the war in Ukraine are not his own opinion.
He said this in an interview with the Italian edition of Corriere della Sera, published on YouTube.
Zelensky noted that in his statements, Berlusconi uses the exact words and narratives as Russian President Vladimir Putin.
âI didnât see his own opinion, you know? Or the society that supports his opinion. I saw Putinâs opinion, they just gave him certain words, I think that this is not his personal opinion. If these were his words, I would be scaredâ - said the head of state.
He also noted that the citizens of Italy gave the Berlusconi party only 8% of the vote in the elections.
"Therefore, there is no need for my reaction, the reaction of the Italians is enough; there is little support. I think he used my last name because without mentioning me and Ukraine, he would have received even less interest. It seems to me that few people remember him. I know that he is almost 90 years old, I wish him good health," Zelensky added.
