The Irish government has approved a new aid package for Ukraine worth €100 million.

This was reported by RTE.

Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris stated that the funds will be allocated for "non-lethal military equipment and support."

According to the Irish Mirror, €80 million of this amount will be spent on joint procurement with EU countries, including Lithuania and Denmark. The remaining €20 million will be allocated to strengthen Ukraine’s capabilities in demining, military IT, communications, and cybersecurity.

During a government meeting today on ways to assist Ukraine, Irish officials stated that there is "no doubt" that U.S. President Trump’s decision to suspend military aid to Ukraine is a "very serious development."

Prime Minister Micheál Martin called it a "serious setback" and urged for "further engagement from all sides."

Simon Harris, in turn, emphasized that European partners have been working extremely hard in recent days to demonstrate not only solidarity but also practical support for Ukraine.
