Ordinary life is gradually returning to the capital of Ukraine, and the situation around Kyiv is also less tense. But it remains very complex and dangerous due to the extremely large number of mines and other explosive devices, many of which are in the liberated territories, said in an interview with Italian television Sky TG24 Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk.

"Unfortunately, as a result of full-scale Russian aggression, Ukraine has become one of the largest mined areas in the world. Due to the great danger, many cities and towns are very difficult to reach. So, the authorities are now doing everything possible to eliminate the remnants of shells, missiles, clear many mines, and give the opportunity to regularly deliver to residents of such settlements medicines, water, food, basic necessities," said Irina Vereshchuk.
