The Italian Postal Police, which monitors the internet and telecommunications networks, is conducting an operation against the Russian hacker group Noname, which has attacked resources of various institutions across Europe since 2022. As part of the investigation, five arrest warrants have been issued for members of the group.

It is noted that the operation is coordinated by the Rome Prosecutor's Office, and at the international level, the investigation is being coordinated by Eurojust and Europol.
According to Italian law enforcement, the Russian hacker group NoName057(16) has carried out thousands of attacks since 2022 on government websites, public administration platforms, public transportation infrastructure, banking institutions, medical facilities, and telecommunications in several European countries, including Italy.
During the investigation, many members of the group were identified, and the individuals behind remote servers, Telegram accounts, and cryptocurrency payments connected to the group were established.
As part of the investigation, on Wednesday five international arrest warrants were issued for Russian citizens, two of whom are considered to be leaders of the organization.
Over 600 servers were deactivated in various countries, with some of them seized.
