The massive Russian attack Ukraine suffered last night is a blatant mockery of the peace process itself and yet another confirmation that Russia has not changed its goals in its aggressive war.
This was stated today on social media by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
"While claiming to seek peace, Russia launched a deadly airstrike on Kyiv. This isn't a pursuit of peace, it’s a mockery of it. The real obstacle is not Ukraine but Russia, whose war aims have not changed," Kallas wrote.
As previously reported, as a result of Russia's large-scale missile and drone attacks launched during the night of April 24 across the entire territory of Ukraine — including the capital, Kyiv — 9 people were killed and more than 80 injured.
Russia launched approximately 70 missiles, including ballistic ones, and nearly 150 drones.
