Kazakhstan introduces a new "golden visa" programme for foreign investors, including Russians.
This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
Now, any foreigner who invests at least $300,000 in the charter capital of a Kazakhstani company or in local securities can submit an electronic application for an investor visa.
This visa will allow the holder to apply for a residence permit for up to 10 years in the future. Authorities stated that this decision aims to improve the investment climate and demonstrates Kazakhstan's strategic focus on openness, protecting investments, and developing sustainable international economic ties.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that similar programmes are widely used in the USA, European countries, the UAE, and Singapore, and have already proven effective in attracting capital, technologies, and business activity. Kazakhstan has decided to follow this path, offering its own model of investment residency.
According to Forbes Kazakhstan, the idea of introducing "golden visas" has been discussed in the country since 2018. This is not the first such initiative: since November 2023, Kazakhstan has also started issuing visas for digital nomads called Neo Nomad. To obtain them, one must have a stable income of at least $3,000 per month outside Kazakhstan.
