In Ukrainian intelligence, it is believed that Russia, by announcing mobilization in the country, has only "driven itself into a corner."

The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, commented on the mobilization in Russia. According to him, with this decision, Putin made a "gift for Ukraine" because it "will speed up the process, which can no longer be stopped."

The head of the HUR, Major General Kyrylo Budanov, spoke about this in an interview with Natalya Moseychuk.

"There is no need to be afraid of mobilization. In fact, this is a gift for us. It will only accelerate the process, which can no longer be stopped. This is agony. They will now face a problem that we have already experienced. By the way, this is the third episode in the history of Russia when mobilization takes place: in 1914, 1941 and for the third time in 2022. Russia has endured itself into a dead end. In principle, it is still possible to get out of it. This is an acknowledgment that an error has occurred. They know how to show it. The mechanisms and the model have been worked out "We are very clearly aware that we will reach the administrative borders of 1991-oo and start trying to build some kind of dialogue with our neighbors and the world. But this automatically means a transfer of power"," Budanov said.

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, expressed confidence that active hostilities in Ukraine would soon end.

"… we are constantly rethinking. Unfortunately, this is a long process. I must say this frankly, but it will not be long (military operations). In general, this war will not last long. It will end soon," Budanov said.
