The online auctions of the Land Bank have allowed over 20,000 hectares of state land to be transferred into legal use under transparent and competitive conditions in just six months.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, UAH 584.9 million, including VAT, has been paid for the right to use state agricultural lands within the project.

"After six months of operation of the 'Land Bank,' we see that transparent online auctions are indeed changing the approach to managing state lands. On average, 7 participants compete for each lot, which increases the starting sublease price by 8 times. This is an example of a new quality of managing state assets, where land works for the economy and creates opportunities for agricultural businesses across the country," noted the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko.

Since October 1, 2024, 506 online sublease auctions for state agricultural lands with a total area of 35,235 hectares in 17 regions of Ukraine have been held in the "Prozorro.Sale" system. As a result, 271 sublease agreements have been concluded for land parcels totaling 20,521 hectares.

On average, 8 participants compete for each Land Bank lot. As a result of competition, the sublease price has increased nearly 7 times on average. Participants were most active in competing for land in Vinnytsia region (an average of 22 participants per lot), Poltava, and Cherkasy regions (an average of 14 participants per lot).

"The average sublease price for land today is UAH 28,500 per hectare, including VAT," said Igor Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.

During the six months of trading, 3,463 offers were received, mostly from small and medium-sized farms and agricultural enterprises. This demonstrates that the state land sublease mechanism is working, and the demand for these opportunities remains consistently high, according to the ministry.

72.8% of the winners of the "Land Bank" auctions are small and medium-sized agribusinesses.

Among the regions, the leader in the highest average price per hectare is Ivano-Frankivsk region — UAH 47,500 per hectare, including VAT. Meanwhile, the highest price per hectare over the six-month period was for a 191-hectare land parcel in Cherkasy region, priced at UAH 56,000 per hectare, including VAT
