On the night of March 21, 2025 (starting at 8:00 PM on March 20), Russia launched a massive drone attack on Ukraine, deploying 214 Shahed-type strike UAVs and decoy drones from multiple locations, including Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Chauda in occupied Crimea.
Ukraine’s Air Force, air defense missile units, electronic warfare teams, and mobile fire groups actively countered the assault. As of 9:30 AM, Ukrainian defenders had confirmed the destruction of 114 Shahed drones and other UAVs across southern, northern, and central regions.
Additionally, 81 decoy drones lost their location tracking without causing any harm.
The attack affected several regions, including Odessa, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, and Kyiv.
