The Ukrainian esports team Natus Vincere (NaVi) defeated the German team G2 to secure first place in this year's Esports World Cup for Counter-Strike 2.
The NAVI team earned $400,000 for their victory, along with 1000 Club Points, as reported on the team's website. The total prize pool for the tournament was $1,000,000.
The next time we will see NAVI is at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024, which for our squad will begin on July 31 with a match against BIG (Berlin International Gaming).
Another accolade for NAVI was the MVP award, marking the first career MVP title for Valerii "b1t" Vakhovskyi. He finished the tournament with a rating of 1.33 and was recognized as the most valuable player.
The 2024 Esports World Cup is the inaugural edition of the Esports World Cup, an annual series of international esports tournaments that replaces the Gamers8 festival. The event is organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation and funded by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.
