More than 15 military trucks carrying Chechen fighters have arrived in temporarily occupied Mariupol, with plans to redeploy them to the Zaporizhzhia region.
This was reported on Telegram by Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation and former adviser to the Mayor of Mariupol.
He also shared relevant photos and videos of the convoy.
“More than 15 military trucks carrying Chechen fighters arrived in Mariupol from Russian territory yesterday. According to our sources, they are expected to be redeployed to Zaporizhzhia Oblast (the Enerhodar/Melitopol/Vasylivka area) today or tomorrow for rotation,” wrote Andriushchenko.
He noted that this is the largest group of Chechens recorded in Mariupol since 2023, once again confirming the city’s growing role as a major military logistics hub.
