Poland has allocated a credit for joint arms production with Ukraine. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Office of the President, Igor Zhovkva, during a TV marathon.
"Poland has allocated a credit for joint production of weapons between Ukraine and Poland. This is very important. We already have components of Polish weapons that are being supplied and used in Ukraine. And we need more," Zhovkva stated.
Zhovkva did not specify the exact defense projects to be implemented within this cooperation. He also added that during a meeting on February 2 with the head of the prime minister's office, discussions were held on initiating negotiations about security guarantees for Ukraine.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine use a significant amount of products from the Polish defense industry complex. Among the most well-known Polish weaponry in the arsenal of the Ukrainian military are the portable anti-aircraft missile systems Piorun, kamikaze drones Warmate, armored personnel carriers Rosomak, 155-mm self-propelled artillery units Krab, and automatic rifles Grot.
