Since the beginning of 2026, 29 new export opportunities have been approved for Ukrainian products across 13 countries and the European Union. This is the highest annual figure recorded since at least 2022.

The new opportunities cover various regions of the world, from Europe and the Caucasus to the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Ukrainian flour can now be exported to China, egg products to Vietnam and Egypt, and milk and dairy products to Chile. Access to new markets has also been agreed for meat and meat products, animal feed, live animals, snails (escargot) and planting material.

Among the newly approved export destinations are cattle for slaughter, fattening and breeding in Algeria; sheep for immediate slaughter in Egypt; and beef and beef products in Iraq, Georgia and Côte d'Ivoire. Exports of table eggs, egg products and fish products to Egypt have also been approved, along with poultry meat and poultry products to Côte d'Ivoire.

Separate agreements cover animal feed and products of animal origin. Ukrainian producers will be able to export pet food to Egypt and the Republic of Korea, processed animal feed to Albania, and plant-based feed to Georgia. Certificates have also been approved for exports to Georgia of several animal by-products, including processed animal protein and rendered fats.

For Ukraine's crop production sector, new opportunities have opened for exports to the EU of planting material for sour cherry and grey-leaved cherry trees, as well as their hybrids. Exports of planting material for eight species of maple have also been approved. Live snails, snail eggs and certain categories of meat products can now be exported to Moldova.

The list includes not only raw materials but also processed products, such as flour, meat, dairy and egg products, and pet food. This range of newly opened export opportunities enables Ukrainian businesses to supply more finished products to international markets and develop domestic processing industries.

"Opening each new export destination is a tangible result of joint efforts by the state and Ukrainian producers. We are expanding the geographical reach of our exports while also creating opportunities to supply processed products. This is important for the development of Ukrainian manufacturing and for strengthening Ukraine's position in global markets. These results have been achieved through cooperation between the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, relevant ministries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ukrainian diplomatic missions," said Serhii Tkachuk, Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

The approval of veterinary and phytosanitary requirements is an important step towards entering new markets. These requirements establish the conditions under which Ukrainian products may be supplied to partner countries.

As a result, producers gain more opportunities to plan exports, diversify their product ranges and find new buyers in different parts of the world.

The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection will continue working to expand access for Ukrainian products to international markets.

The agreements reached create new opportunities for exports, the development of Ukrainian manufacturing and processing industries, and the strengthening of the country's economy.
