For the second time in 2021, a "retro locomotive tour" was conducted on the narrow-gauge railway in Haivoron along the route from Haivoron to Bershad and back. 85 amateurs of railways, professional railroad workers and tourists covered 50 kilometers there and back all day long until dark.
A rich cultural, entertainment and purely thematic program awaited the participants of the tour. First of all, these are special stops for photos in the most picturesque places of the line, including at the bridge over the Southern Bug. The programme also included riding on a unique trolley, converted from the Soviet ZiM limousine, performances by local music bands and lunch in the fresh air.
A narrow-gauge railway with a center and a locomotive depot in Haivoron runs through the territory of Vinnitsa and Kirovograd regions, but belongs to the regional branch of the Odessa Railway, Ukrzaliznytsia. The length of the currently operating Haivoron - Rudnitsa section through Bershad is 78 kilometers, a little more than 50 kilometers from Haivoron to Golovanevsk is still inactive, waiting for the clearing and repair of tracks before resuming traffic.
