On the night of October 6 (from 8:00 p.m. on October 5), the Russian forces launched 116 strike UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as other types of drones, from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and from Hvardiiske (occupied Crimea).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, electronic warfare units, UAV systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 83 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types across northern, southern, eastern, and central Ukraine.
Hits from 30 strike UAVs were recorded at seven locations.
