The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has declared the French association Pour l'Ukraine, pour leur liberté et la nôtre! ("For Ukraine, for their freedom and for ours!") an "undesirable" organization.

This was reported by Radio Free Europe.

The Pour l'Ukraine association was established in the spring of 2022 after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. It includes several thousand students and staff from French universities.

It is noted that Pour l'Ukraine advocates for increased support for Ukraine and organizes fundraising efforts for the return of Ukrainian children taken to Russia, as well as for the purchase of generators and equipment for deminers.

The statement published on the Russian prosecutor's website mentions that the association "supports sanctions against Russia, spreads false information about the course of the special military operation (the full-scale war), agitates against Russian athletes participating in international competitions, and provides military-technical assistance to the Kyiv regime."

The partners of Pour l'Ukraine, the organizations Russie-Libertes and the "Anti-War Committee of Russia," have also been declared "undesirable" in Russia.

Overall, the Russian authorities have declared the activities of more than 200 foreign organizations "undesirable" in the country. This means a ban on their activities in Russia and the threat of persecution for individuals working with them.
