Russia launched 167 drones and 2 Iskander missiles overnight

On the night of February 19, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with 167 strike drones and decoy UAVs of various types. The Russian forces also launched two ballistic missiles.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the attack, Russia launched:

  • 167 drones from the directions of Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia;
  • Two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles targeting the Sumy region from the Voronezh region.

To repel the aerial assault, the following forces were engaged:

  • Aviation;
  • Air defense missile units;
  • Electronic warfare units;
  • Mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

As of 9 a.m., 106 drones had been confirmed shot down over Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, and several other regions.

Additionally, 56 decoy drones were lost from radar without causing harm.

The attack affected the following regions:

  • Odesыa;
  • Kyiv;
  • Sumy;
  • Cherkasy;
  • Zaporizhzhia.
