On the night of February 6, 2025, the Russian army launched 77 attack drones at Ukraine. Air defense forces operated in 11 regions.
According to the Air Force of Ukraine, the assault began at 19:00 on February 5 and included Shahed drones and various decoy UAVs. The drones were launched from Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Shatalovo.
Additionally, Russia fired two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov region.
The attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire teams of Ukraine’s Air Force and Defense Forces.
As of 09:00, Ukrainian forces confirmed the downing of 56 Shahed drones and other UAVs over Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odessa regions.
Additionally, 18 decoy drones were lost from radar without consequences. However, the attack caused damage in Kharkiv, Cherkasy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
