On the night of February 3, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with 71 Shahed-type drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles. Ukrainian air defense managed to shoot down 38 of them.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
The Russian forces launched drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from occupied Crimea.
As of 9 a.m., the confirmed downing of 38 drones was recorded in the following regions:
- Kharkiv
- Poltava
- Kyiv
- Sumy
- Chernihiv
- Cherkasy
- Zaporizhzhia
- Dnipropetrovsk
- Vinnytsia
- Khmelnytskyi
An additional 25 drones were lost in unknown locations without causing any damage.
As a result of the attack, the following regions suffered damage:
- Sumy
- Kharkiv
- Cherkasy
