Russia launched over 140 drones at Ukraine overnight

On the night of Monday, January 20, the Russian army launched 141 drones of various types at Ukraine. The drones approached from five directions.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

"On the night of January 20, 2025 (starting at 7:00 PM on January 19), the enemy launched 141 attack drones of the Shahed type and other types of decoy drones from five directions: Millerovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia. Additionally, they fired an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Kursk region targeting the Sumy region," the statement reads.

The air attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces.

As of 8:00 AM, 93 Shahed attack drones and other drones were confirmed to have been shot down over Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Donetsk regions.

47 decoy drones were lost in unidentified locations (without causing any damage), with two of them returning to Russia.
