Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have launched widespread attacks across Ukraine, striking civilian infrastructure and injuring or killing dozens of people in multiple regions, according to regional authorities.
Kharkiv region
In the northeastern Kharkiv region, Russian forces shelled five settlements, wounding six civilians. The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported on Telegram that the attacks targeted Kupiansk, Izium, and the village of Nechvolodivka.
“In Kupiansk, the injured included three men aged 45, 59, and 73. In Izium, a 50-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman were wounded, and in Nechvolodivka, a 42-year-old man was hurt,” Syniehubov wrote.
Russian troops used a range of weaponry, including 17 Geran-2 kamikaze drones and two FPV drones. In the districts of Kupiansk and Izium, the attacks damaged multiple residential and non-residential buildings, as well as several vehicles.
Sumy region
In the northern Sumy region, a 78-year-old woman was killed when Russian drones struck a village in the Svesa community on Friday evening. According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, four attack drones set residential houses ablaze.
In the neighboring Shostka community, a separate assault prompted two civilians to seek medical care, though neither required hospitalization.
Kherson region
In southern Ukraine, Russian forces continued their relentless shelling of Kherson region, targeting residential neighborhoods and infrastructure. According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, one person was killed and six others — including a child — were injured.
The strikes hit an apartment building, eight private homes, and several civilian vehicles. Among the affected communities were Antonivka, Beryslav, Dniprovske, Inzhenerne, and over 30 other towns and villages, as well as the city of Kherson.
Zaporizhzhia region
In the Zaporizhzhia region, overnight Russian attacks injured three civilians and damaged civilian infrastructure. The National Police reported that 13 Shahed-type drones and two rocket salvos struck Zaporizhzhia city and the surrounding district.
A 69-year-old woman was wounded in the city, while two other women — aged 64 and 73 — were injured in the village of Prymorske, Vasylivka district, following an FPV drone strike.
Airstrikes, artillery, and drones were also reported in more than a dozen other settlements across the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts.
Donetsk region
The Donetsk region saw some of the deadliest violence of the day, with four civilians killed and six others injured. According to Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, fatalities occurred in Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Raiske.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, at least 3,369 civilians have been killed and 7,610 injured in Donetsk region, though these figures exclude areas under occupation such as Mariupol and Volnovakha.
