Russian forces in the Tavrida direction increased the number of assaults by 30% in the past day, according to Olexander Shtupun, the spokesperson for the Unified Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria axis. He reported this information in an interview with Radio Liberty.
"The decrease in activity was the day before yesterday. However, yesterday, the Russian occupiers sharply increased the percentage of assault actions by 30% and also airstrikes. If the day before yesterday there were no airstrikes at all, yesterday we recorded 29. Mostly, the enemy dropped guided aviation bombs from Su-35, mainly in the Donetsk region. The invaders do not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Unsuccessfully stormed east of Novobakhmutivka, also in the areas of Avdiivka, Severnyi, and Pervomaiske. Thirteen attacks were repelled there in the last day," he said.
Today, the Russian army deployed about a dozen armored vehicles for the attack, reported Shtupun.
"Our soldiers destroyed two tanks, seven combat armored vehicles, and the enemy retreated," added the spokesperson.
The day before, Olexander Tarnavsky, the commander of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Tavria," stated that Russian military reduced the number of assault actions but continue to ignore the laws and customs of war by shelling civilian infrastructure.
