In Kharkiv, the number of people injured in a private kindergarten hit by a Russian drone on Wednesday, October 22, has risen to ten.
This was reported on Telegram by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
“The number of those injured as a result of the strike on the kindergarten has risen to ten, including a five-year-old girl,” the mayor wrote.
For the strike on the building in Kharkiv’s Kholodnogirskyi district, Russian forces used, according to preliminary law enforcement data, “Geran‑2” drones with jet engines.
This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Amil Omarov.
“Around 11:00 today, the city came under an air attack. The enemy used Geran‑2 attack drones, reportedly with jet engines, against the Kholodnogirskyi district. The strike targeted an area with dense administrative and residential buildings. One of the administrative buildings housed a private kindergarten,” the prosecutor’s office head said.
Law enforcement authorities have opened a criminal case over the Russian war crime.
According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Synehubov, four people were hospitalized, including two in serious condition and two in moderate condition. Two other victims received outpatient medical care.
A 42-year-old employee of the municipal enterprise Shlyakhrembud was killed.
