Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger to discuss expanding cooperation in ammunition production, armored vehicles, and air defense systems.
"Developing our domestic defense industry is crucial for Ukraine, and we are open to sharing expertise with our partners," Umerov stated.
The parties emphasized Ukraine’s readiness to establish joint ventures, building on successful past collaborations. Special attention was given to expanding production capacities in partnership with Rheinmetall.
"Ukraine is ready to establish joint ventures, and we already have successful experience in such cooperation. We continue to expand our production capabilities together with reliable partners. I am grateful to Armin Papperger for his support of Ukraine and Rheinmetall’s willingness to implement new mutually beneficial projects," said Umerov.
