Starting today, the “cap” on Russian oil prices will be $47.6 per barrel, down from the previous $60 per barrel.
This was announced by Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak.
“Starting today, the new price ‘cap’ on Russian oil has come into effect. The limit is now $47.6 per barrel instead of the previous $60. This decision was previously adopted as part of the EU’s 18th sanctions package against Russia,” he wrote.
Yermak also thanked European partners for taking into account the recommendations of the sanctions group to lower the price cap on Russian oil.
