The activity of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups and their attempts to infiltrate Ukrainian territory have decreased. However, the threat remains for all border areas, with occasional attempts to cross the border, according to the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, during a TV broadcast.

"While the activity of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups and their attempts to infiltrate our territory have significantly decreased compared to before, the threat remains for all border directions, and we are recording attempts of such infiltrations," he noted.

According to him, Ukrainian soldiers, understanding the threat posed by saboteurs, use various means to monitor the terrain, prevent attempts to breach the border, and detect the locations of crossings and Russian presence.

At the same time, the State Border Guard Service and the Defense Forces use unmanned aerial vehicles to timely detect such attempts and eliminate the sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

"Also, to determine the location of our troops, how our defense line is structured, saboteurs frequently attempt to mine the terrain in order to later cause harm to our defenders through these devices," Demchenko emphasized.

Recalling the Chernihiv direction at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the spokesman noted that the Russian forces used sabotage operations for informational and psychological influence on the residents of occupied territories.
