Approximately 3,000 people gathered on Monday near the representation of the European Commission in Warsaw to call on Europe and the entire world to more actively support Ukraine amid Russia's intensified shelling of Ukrainian territory.

Among the main demands are the immediate provision of more weapons to Kyiv for the protection of the civilian population, the transfer of Russia's frozen assets to Ukraine in Western countries, and the isolation of Russia on the international stage.

"We organized this action due to the constant and massive shelling of Ukraine by Russia, which has become the largest in the world. This is terrorism against the civilian population of Ukraine. In connection with this, today we want to address the European Union with specific demands: protect civilians, protect Ukrainians by providing Ukraine with air defense systems, F-16 aircraft, and do it immediately," said Victoria Pohrebniak, an activist from the Warsaw Euromaidan, in a comment to the agency.

Pohrebniak read the appeal in English on behalf of the participants in the rally to the leadership of the EU, urging for immediate assistance and support for Ukraine, which she promptly delivered to the representation of the European Commission in Warsaw.

In turn, Myroslav Skirka, the head of the Ukrainian Association in Poland, commented to the agency, stating that the war in Ukraine continues and is taking increasingly tragic forms due to the intensification of missile attacks on Ukraine.

Regrettably, he noted that the West is slowly becoming indifferent to this tragedy. He also emphasized that, unfortunately, Poland has ceased to be an active partner supporting Ukraine and, in some cases, even blocks Ukraine's path to Europe and assistance for Kyiv.

"Today, we have gathered to say: this cannot be. We did not come to Poland since 2022 for this, to waste it all in this way due to the strange and incomprehensible policies of both past and present Polish governments," Skirka stated.

Natalia Panchenko, the leader of the Warsaw Euromaidan, appealed to the participants in the rally, urging the EU leadership and the Polish government to provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons to protect the civilian population, to immediately expel Russian diplomats from European countries, and to unfreeze Russian assets and promptly transfer them to Ukraine so that the country has the means to purchase weapons and protect the civilian population from constant Russian terror.
