The Swiss government has joined the EU’s anti-Russian sanctions, introducing restrictions against eight Russian media outlets.
This was reported by the Swiss Federal Authorities.
It is noted that the Federal Department of Economic Affairs (EAER) made changes to Annexes 8 and 25 of the Ordinance on Measures in Connection with the Situation in Ukraine on December 17, 2025.
These changes include the addition of eight organizations operating in the information space to Annex 25. The names of the media outlets subject to the restrictions have not yet been disclosed.
Additionally, entries regarding 158 sanctioned individuals and organizations in Annex 8 have been updated. The restrictive measures will take effect on April 23, 2025.
