The streaming service Takflix will showcase a collection of short films titled "Love is Worth Everything" about love during wartime in theaters. The release of the collection is dedicated to the second anniversary of the full-scale war and is also timed to Valentine's Day.

The selection of short films includes works by contemporary Ukrainian directors and filmmakers produced after February 24, 2022. Among them is the film "How It Was" by Anastasiia Solonevych and Damian Kocur, which was part of the official selection at the Cannes Film Festival 2023.

"The filmmakers capture the new wartime reality from the perspective of personal life and romantic relationships. They create a vast space for reflection and draw attention to the emotions and experiences of people who have not lost the ability to love," commented Takflix.

Films in the collection:

"As It Was" by Damian Kocur, Anastasiia Solonevych

The film participated in the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival in 2023. The story follows Lera, who returns to Kyiv from Berlin for the first time after February 24. She reunites with friends and family, walks familiar streets, and experiences the reality of life during full-scale war.

"It Is Quiet Here" by Olena Podolianko, Novruz Khikmet

The intimate documentary work by Olena Podolianko and Novruz Khikmet ("The Palace") depicts a couple who were forced to leave for Uzhgorod.

"Storks Always Come Home" by Gala Kozutinska

The family story of Gala Kozutinska involves her and her partner purchasing a neglected house in the Carpathian Mountains. They dream of creating the coziest place on earth where they can grow their own fruits, take care of each other, drink coffee with a view of the mountains, and watch storks nest. However, this tranquility is disrupted by the war.

"Voice Messages from Bahmut" by Igor Babayev

The experimental photo-essay by Igor Babayev depicts a foreign correspondent residing in the front-line town of Bahmut, who records voice messages documenting her experiences.

In Kyiv, the screenings of the collection will begin at the theaters "Zhovten," "Kino42," "Lira," "Start," "Florence," and "Shevchenko Cinema," and from February 15 - in the "Planet Cinema" network throughout Ukraine. 10% of each online cinema ticket will be donated to the "Come Back Alive" fund, and 50% will go to the filmmakers.

The collection will have a limited release in theaters and will have an online premiere on Takflix on February 22. Additionally, in collaboration with the curatorial association "86," a series of special creative meetings will be organized in Ukrainian cities from February 7 to 17.
