The Come Back Alive Foundation, at the request of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and with the support of the state company “Ukrnafta,” developed, purchased, and delivered to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the country’s first mobile complexes for servicing next-generation aircraft.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Telegram and shared a related video.
“In conditions of a real war, when the enemy hunts for planes and airfields, the Air Force lacked mobility in servicing both the F-16s themselves and their aviation armaments,” the statement said.
This concerns “Project 61” — a unique, autonomous, and efficient ecosystem based on Ukraine’s real needs during this war: a mobile mission planning complex where pre-flight briefings for pilots are held and close-range escort of aircraft is conducted; and two aviation armament preparation complexes that speed up the preparation and inspection of munitions and simplify their attachment to the aircraft.
According to a representative of “Office 61,” which is involved in the development of state aviation,
“Previously, it took 10 to 12 people to mount one munition. Thanks to this complex, now it is possible to do so with just three people.”
The implementation of this crucial solution was made possible by Ukrnafta, which contributed 49,438,176.90 UAH.
This ecosystem takes into account Europe’s advanced experience, is based on Ukraine’s real needs, and helps next-generation aircraft realize their full potential.
