The NOVITSKA brand showcased a collection of embroidered shirts inspired by Klymbovsky embroidery.

The patterns on the shirts were personally embroidered by Maria Savchynska, a third-generation embroiderer and honored master of folk artistry from Vinnytsia. This new brand editorial pays homage to traditional attire and local craftsmanship. The brand's team focused on authentic embellishments, hand embroidery, Ukrainian interiors, and the purity of nature. These are timeless archetypes that constitute the essence of Ukrainian attire and have found conceptual expression in the NOVITSKA collection.

During the creation of this line, Natalia Novitska aimed to encapsulate in the embroidered shirts her historical affinity and their value as protective and family relics. Her inspiration came from the traditions of her homeland, particularly the village of Klymbivka in Vinnytsia.

Klymbivka is an ancient hub of folk embroidery, renowned thanks to generations of skilled embroiderers. The uniqueness of Klymbovsky embroidery lies in its authentic cut and distinct patterns, rooted in the era of Trypillia.

In this new collection by the brand, modern cuts harmoniously blend with traditional motifs. To achieve this, the designer collaborated with Maria Vasylivna Savchynska, a renowned Klymbivka master who has preserved authentic embroidery in the region for decades. All the embroidery motifs were meticulously handcrafted by the master herself. Each garment's manual embroidery takes 3-4 weeks. As such, every piece from the new NOVITSKA capsule not only holds individual artistic value but is also created by hand using a sustainable production approach.
