The Ukrainian version of the comic helped raise more than UAH 4.5 million for drones for the Armed Forces.
The comic "PEREMOHA: Victory for Ukraine" became a finalist for the Benjamin Franklin Award in the "Graphic Novel" category, and this is stated on the official page of the award.
"PEREMOHA: Victory for Ukraine" is an English translation of the Ukrainian comic collection "The Road to Victory" â a joint project of The Will Production publishing house and Art Nation production company.
The painting consists of ten graphic novels, each created in the author's style and genre. Among the authors of the comic: Oleksandr Koreshkov, Kateryna Kosheleva, Yevgeny Tonchilov, Volodymyr Povoroznyk, Oleg Okunev, Igor Kurilin, Maksym Bogdanovskyi, Bohdana Vitkovska, Nazar Ponik, Kyril Malov and Oleksiy Bondarenko. They all reacted with their own creativity to Russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.
Victory for Ukraine is a collection created by Ukrainian artists during the first weeks of the Russian invasion, channeling all their emotions - their anger, courage dreams, and despair into one goal, one manifestation of their nationâs fight for survival!
As a finalist for the Benjamin Franklin Award, the comic will be awarded a special medal at a ceremony to be held on May 5 in California.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian version of the comic collection was published in 2022 with two books: "The Road to Victory: Courage" and "The Road to Victory: Freedom".
Multimarket Aurora, which owns the rights to sell the comics, has joined the fundraiser to purchase drones of a certain specification for the "Drone Army" from UNITED24 platform ambassador Mark Hamill, star of the film "Star Wars". This collection has just ended. Readers of "Road to Victory" donated about UAH 4.557 million.
