The Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 80 Russian cruise missiles (X-101/X-55SM/Kalibr/Iskander-K), one ballistic missile (Iskander-M), and 80 Shahed-type strike drones, as well as drones of unspecified types.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Telegram.

From 14:00 on December 12 to 10:00 on December 13, 2024, the enemy launched a combined air attack on Ukraine with missiles of various types and strike drones.

In total, the radio-technical troops of the Air Force identified 287 Russian air attack means during this period—94 missiles and 193 UAVs, specifically:

  • 4 air-launched ballistic missiles X-47M2 Kinzhal from MiG-31K fighter jets, launch area—Tambov region;
  • 2 ballistic missiles Iskander-M, launch area—Bryansk region, occupied Crimea;
  • 1 ballistic missile KN-23, launch area—Bryansk region;
  • 55 cruise missiles X-101, X-55SM from strategic bombers Tu-95MS, launch area—Volgograd region;
  • 24 cruise missiles Kalibr, launch area—Black Sea waters;
  • 7 cruise missiles Iskander-K, launch area—Voronezh, Rostov regions;
  • 1 guided air missile X-59/X-69, launch area—airspace over occupied Luhansk region;
  • 193 strike drones of the Shahed type and drones of unspecified types, launched from Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel, Bryansk, and Millierovo regions (Russia).

The air defense was carried out by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, EW units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and the Ukrainian Defense Forces. F-16s effectively participated in the operation!

As of 11:30, it was confirmed that:

  • 80 cruise missiles (X-101/X-55SM/Kalibr/Iskander-K) were shot down.
