On the night of March 12, 2025 (from 7:00 PM on March 11), the Russian forces struck with three Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Crimea on Odessa and Kryvyi Rih, as well as attacked with 133 Shahed-type strike drones and drone imitators of various types from the directions of: Orel, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, and Chauda – Crimea.
The air defense was carried out by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, EW units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9:30 AM, preliminary reports confirmed the downing of 98 Shahed-type strike drones and other types of drones in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Rivne, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odessa, and Kherson regions.
20 drone imitators were lost in specific locations (without negative consequences).
As a result of the Russian attack, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kyiv regions were affected.
