The Defense Forces eliminated three Russian army officers in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Russian forces gathered for a meeting and were eliminated by HIMARS.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate,

"Three officers of the Russian forces' leadership were neutralized in a successful operation conducted by the Active Actions Department of the Main Intelligence Directorate, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), the Ukrainian Armed Forces' drone systems, and the operational group 'Tavria.'"

Details of the operation: Main Intelligence Directorate obtained information about a planned meeting involving officers from the 4th Guards Military Base of the Russian occupation forces, who are engaged in the war against Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.

"After verifying and confirming the data, military intelligence officers developed an operation plan, with the involvement of 'Tavria,' the SSU, and the tactical group 'Typhoon' of the SBU," the Defence Intelligence stated.

 

According to the intelligence officers, immediately after the start of the Russian field meeting, a high-precision HIMARS strike was launched at the gathering of Russian officers and their vehicles. After the arrival of the invader evacuation group, the strike drones of Ukraine's Security and Defense Forces attacked.

As a result of the operation, three officers of the Russian forces were eliminated:

  • Captain Dmitriy Nagorny, commander of the 1st Battalion of the 135th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces;
  • Captain Grigory Krokhmalyov, deputy chief of staff for intelligence, chief of intelligence of the 135th Motorized Rifle Regiment;
  • Captain Yuriy Fomin, commander of the anti-aircraft battery of the 4th Guards Military Base of the Russian Armed Forces.

Additionally, five units of Russian vehicles were destroyed.
