On Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Kyiv will host the second Eco-Industrial Parks Forum. The event will gather leading government officials, business representatives, and experts to discuss key strategies and solutions for implementing circular sustainable economy models in the context of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

This high-level event is part of the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) project Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme II – Ukraine: National Component, which is supported by the Swiss Government through the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. The forum’s goal is to unite efforts to accelerate the development of eco-industrial parks in Ukraine, which will drive the economy of the new generation by combining industrial development with green economy principles.

Key topics of the forum include:

  • Development of eco-industrial park policies in Ukraine

  • Strategic financial mechanisms for sustainable industrial development

  • Global best practices and successful implementation examples

  • Readiness of Ukrainian businesses to adopt eco-industrial park principles

The opening of the forum and discussions will involve representatives from the Ukrainian government, the Verkhovna Rada, the Embassy of Switzerland, UNIDO, other international organizations, and over 30 leading international and Ukrainian experts and business community leaders.

"Rebuilding Ukraine is an opportunity to create an economy of the new generation integrated into the European economic space. Eco-industrial parks could become its driving force, combining industrial development with circular economy principles. However, success depends on the right choice of models and policies, and this is a shared challenge for both government and business. Only united efforts will contribute to the creation of industrial ecosystems that will become engines of sustainable growth," says Christian Süßen, UNIDO Industrial Development Coordinator.

The forum will also provide opportunities for networking with key stakeholders shaping the future of sustainable industrial development in Ukraine. Additionally, the forum will feature a ceremony to award the most successful eco-industrial parks of Ukraine in 2025.
