During her visit to the United Arab Emirates, the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, met with the country's government representatives and the charity organization Dubai Cares.

In particular, the President's wife met with the Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy and the Minister of Climate and Environment, Mariam Almheiri - UAE commissioners for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Olena Zelenska thanked the ministers for the constant attention of the United Arab Emirates to humanitarian problems in Ukraine and assistance.

"Ruslan stuffed with food and fast for Ukraine in the first months of the invasion, more than 2 thousand generators on the eve of the military winter of 2022-2023 - these are just some examples of the UAE aid sent to Ukraine. A strong female team of the UAE government is working to develop comprehensive cooperation between the Emirates and Ukraine, especially in the humanitarian direction," said Olena Zelenska.

The President's wife and UAE government representatives visited the country's first Ukrainian cuisine establishment, which opened in the fall of 2022.

"Every day, there are more Ukraine in the world. It should also increase the global one in Ukraine. Because cooperation is always a two-way movement," said Olena Zelenska.

She also held a meeting with representatives of the charity foundation Dubai Cares, which, in particular, works with the United Nations in the field of inclusive education and child support. The First Lady of Ukraine presented the Olena Zelenska Foundation's project to ensure the humanitarian needs of family-type orphanages (DBST), in particular, the initiative to build new homes for families who lost their homes due to the war. The pilot project envisages the provision of such housing to internally displaced DBSTs. Currently, the Foundation is attracting foreign patrons to implement the initiative.

Thus, at the beginning of her visit to the UAE, Olena Zelenska introduced the project to the President of the country, the ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He supported the development of the initiative.

During the meeting with representatives of Dubai Cares, the first lady expressed hope for further cooperation.

"I hope to see colleagues and their projects in Ukraine. This is exactly why the Foundation exists - to attract the attention of foreign patrons, organizations and corporate partners, to become a guide between them and people who need help in Ukraine. So that the restoration of people's lives, and therefore of the country, takes place as soon as possible," Olena Zelenska summed up.
