The first 105 members of the Ukrainian national Paralympic team have arrived in Paris, France, for the 2024 Paralympic Games, reports the National Committee of Sports for the Disabled of Ukraine.
"105 members of the Ukrainian national Paralympic team - participants in the 2024 Paralympics (5 sports out of 17 in which Ukraine will compete), as well as coaches, doctors, masseurs, and managers - have arrived in Paris today! Therefore, the swimming team, sitting volleyball (men), para-badminton, para-table tennis, and para-rowing are now in Paris," the committee's message reads.
The organization also noted that athletes from para-athletics, para-goalball (men), para-shooting, and para-boccia will arrive in Paris on August 23; para-archery and para-triathlon on August 24; para-taekwondo on August 25; para-powerlifting and para-cycling on August 26; wheelchair fencing on August 27; para-canoe, para-cycling, and para-judo on August 31.
The delegation for the 2024 Paralympics will consist of 235 people, including 140 athletes.
The Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, France, will take place from August 28 to September 8, 2024.
The Ukrainian team has secured 126 licenses for participation in the Paris 2024 Paralympics, with 140 athletes representing Ukraine in 17 sports. These include para-athletics, para-powerlifting, para-judo, para-archery, para-table tennis, wheelchair fencing, para-shooting, para-swimming, para-rowing, para-cycling, goalball, para-canoe, para-triathlon, para-badminton, para-taekwondo, boccia, and sitting volleyball.
