The Ukrainian Kyiv Symphony Orchestra will perform alongside pianist Rudolf Buchbinder at the Grafenegg music festival in Austria. The event was announced by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy on August 8th.

The Ukrainian musicians will present Symphony No. 2 by Levko Revutsky and Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 under the direction of the orchestra's chief conductor, Luigi Gaggero.

"Our mission is to showcase Ukrainian culture and music to the world, including through performances at renowned European festivals featuring works by Ukrainian composers. We are confident that this music will leave a lasting impression in the hearts of the audience," commented Alexander Zaytsev, the conductor of Kyiv Symphony Orchestra.

The concert will take place on August 12th in the acoustical hall of Wolkentrum ("Cloud Tower") — one of the world's finest open-air stages surrounded by natural landscapes and an ancient castle.

The performance will be broadcasted by the National Television and National Radio of Austria.

The Grafenegg Festival has been held annually since 2007.

Rudolf Buchbinder is the founder and artistic director of the festival. He has collaborated with orchestras and conductors from around the world for over half a century, and his interpretations of Beethoven are considered exemplary. The pianist has performed Beethoven's 32 sonatas in approximately 60 concerts across 45 countries.
