The Minister of Defence of the United Kingdom commented on intelligence reports regarding Russia's largest losses since the beginning of the invasion

UK Defence Minister Grant Shapps has responded to intelligence reports from his agency indicating that over the past six weeks, the losses of Russian occupying forces are the highest since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

He posted his comments on Twitter (X).

According to Grant Shapps, Russian President Vladimir Putin is intensifying the invasion of Ukraine, callously causing the deaths of more Russians than ever before in the war.

"Ukrainian bravery & western support is holding back their advance, but we cannot be complacent," Shapps noted.

The UK Defence Minister also emphasized that Ukraine needs unwavering Western support to fight and prevail in the war.

Earlier, British intelligence reported that these losses of Russian occupiers resulted from the offensive in Avdiivka, Donetsk region.
