The Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Brigadier General Anatolii Klochko, held a meeting with a representative of the international company Thales, during which the parties discussed the implementation of potential joint projects.
From the Ukrainian side, the talks were also attended by the Head of the Missile Programmes Department of the Ministry of Defence, Brigadier General Serhii Baranov, as well as leaders of relevant defense departments and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Anatolii Klochko mentioned that he had previously held fruitful negotiations with Thales representatives in several countries, the results of which are expected to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
The Thales representative presented a range of the company’s developments for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Thales is a global technology leader with a presence in dozens of countries. The company provides solutions, services, and products across defense, aerospace, space industries, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.
Also Ukrainian Defense Industry and Thales International SAS have signed an agreement to develop a joint venture. This partnership will focus on creating advanced technological solutions and providing optimized and operational support in the fields of air defense, radar systems, electronic warfare, tactical communication, and electro-optical systems.
The agreement was signed during the Munich Security Conference, with the participation of the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Herman Smetanin.
