In connection with the full-scale war waged by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022 against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in violation of international law, launching missile strikes throughout Ukraine and committing crimes against our society, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine issued an order April 28, 2022, â 256, registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on April 29, 2022 under â 470/37806 "On the closure of seaports". According to the order from the date of its official publication, the seaports of Berdyansk, Mariupol, Skadovsk, and Kherson are closed until the resumption of control over these seaports.
Taking this measure is caused by the inability to service ships and passengers, cargo, transport and other related economic activities, ensuring an adequate level of shipping safety, compliance with international treaties of Ukraine, the binding nature of which was approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and also ensuring the protection of the environment at a time when Russia continues to wage hostilities in these regions, which threatens human life and health.
We will definitely resume the work of these seaports after Ukraine's victory over the Russian occupier.
