The National Security and Defense Council warned citizens that "the most difficult segment" remained in the aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Now it is necessary to liberate all the territories of Ukraine and, most importantly, to punish the Russian Federation for crimes, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov wrote on Twitter.
"Russia continues to set maximalist goals in the war with Ukraine - eliminating statehood and destroying Ukrainians as a nation. It’s time for maximum concentration – we are half way to Victory. But the most difficult part is ahead – to finally expel the aggressor from our land and punish him for his crimes," the statement says.
At the same time, the General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Serhiy Krivonos, said that Ukraine needs to prepare for a protracted war. In his opinion, the fighting will not end in February or March next year.
