The Russian army is concentrating its offensive efforts in the Novopavlivka direction and attempting to advance its assault.
According to the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces Khortytsia, which reported this on Telegram, the Russian forces are focusing its attacks in the areas of Vilne Pole, Bahatyr, Komar, Shevchenkove, and Zaporizhzhia in Donetsk region. Heavy fighting is ongoing, with Russian forces trying to exploit their numerical advantage and push the offensive.
Over the past day, in the Southern-Slobozhanske direction, the Russian forces attacked Defense Forces' positions near Vovchansk and toward Zelenyi but suffered losses and retreated.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian assault groups unsuccessfully attacked near Kamianka, Dvorichanske, and Stepova Novosilka.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled Russian attacks near Olhivka, Novyi Myr, Ridkodub, and Karpivka. In the Siversk direction, fighting took place near Hryhorivka.
In the Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions, Russian assaults were concentrated near Stupochky, Predtechyne, Bila Hora, Dyliivka, Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka, and in Toretsk. No positions were lost.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attempted to use their numerical superiority to break through defenses near the settlements of Rusyn Yar, Poltavka, Koptieve, Razine, Yelyzavetivka, and Malynivka. Using three armored fighting vehicles (AFVs), the Russian troops tried to advance toward Novoolenivka and Novotoretske. As a result of Ukrainian fire, the Russian armored vehicles were damaged and destroyed. Russian troops also launched attacks near Udachne, Orikhove, and Oleksiivka. The invaders continue to build up forces for further assaults. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking measures to prevent any deterioration in tactical positions.
