Russian forces are accumulating forces for assaults on the Kurakhove direction. The invaders have started using anti-thermal cloaks more frequently at night.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, Viktor Tregubov, during a telethon.
"They are moving in small groups and trying to cling to houses and bypass urban development on the outskirts. We should understand that, if they are advancing in such small groups, there are quite a few of them overall," Tregubov said.
According to him, the Russians are trying to accumulate forces to improve their tactical position. At the same time, Russian artillery is attempting to attack the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kurakhove, but mostly destroys empty buildings, as Ukrainian soldiers are aware of the Russia' plans.
The spokesperson added that in total, 31 combat engagements were recorded in the Kurakhove direction in one day. The Russian forces are trying to infiltrate the combat formations of Ukrainian soldiers in the urban development of Kurakhove, in the areas of Daleke, Dachne, and Uspenivka.
It should be noted that the Kurakhove direction remains one of the hottest on the front. Over the past 24 hours, there have been 31 attacks in this direction.
The Russian troops are attempting to capture the city of Kurakhove and nearby settlements. In recent days, there has been noticeable Russian forces movement in this direction.
