Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov today held a working meeting with the Special Envoy of the President of France for Ukraine’s Relief and Reconstruction Pierre Heilbronn.
The parties discussed key areas of cooperation, including projects of the Ministry of National Unity aimed at supporting Ukrainian citizens abroad.
They also discussed the possibility of creating a Unity Hub in France, a space that would become a point of support for Ukrainians to help them adapt, keep in touch with their homeland and access the services they need.
“Since March 2022, France has become a temporary refuge for more than 58,000 Ukrainians. It is important that they receive quality support, access to education, employment and social services,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
The parties also paid attention to the organisation of a Ukrainian-French intergovernmental commission in 2025. It is an important element for strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing economic ties.
Following the meeting, Oleksiy Chernyshov expressed his gratitude to Pierre Heilbronn for his readiness for dialogue and support of Ukrainian initiatives.
