The SSU conducted training exercises in case of a breakthrough by Russian saboteurs from the north

The Security Service conducted large-scale counter-sabotage measures in one of the border areas of the Rivne region.

In addition to intensified checks on local residents and critical infrastructure objects, the coordination of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine in the event of an enemy special forces breakthrough into the region was practiced.

According to the training plan, one of the special forces secretly infiltrated the city where a nuclear power plant is located, while another group seized the son of one of the energy facility's managers as a hostage, demanding a complete shutdown.

Applying psychological pressure and threats of physical violence, the saboteurs forced the hostage to collaborate with the aggressor country, compelling his father to cooperate.

Law enforcement officers, with the involvement of the special forces unit "Alpha" of the SSU, neutralized the simulated enemy groups, freed the "victims," and thus prevented a potential technological catastrophe.

The coordination exercises were conducted under conditions as close to real ones as possible. The events involved units from the SSU, the National Police, the State Emergency Service, and the National Guard.
